Shenandoah Nat’l Park Day Hike 

Rose River Falls Trail 

Thursday, 04/29/2010-  1:00 p.m.

 

 

Join us as we hike to Rose River Falls.   The trail is a 4 mile circuit from Fishers Gap, moderate, shady with streams, cascades, and waterfalls.  Pets are allowed.

 We will be leaving the trailhead  at 1:00 p.m.  Bring water, lunch, and snacks, and wear appropriate footwear.  If you are interested in joining us on this hike, please contact us at the email address below.

National Forest Day Hike

Strickler Knob Trail

Saturday, 05/01/2010- 11:00 a.m.

 

 Join us as we hike to the Strickler Knob trail on this 7.1 mile circuit trail.  This is a strenuous hike with rock scrambles and great views.  It will take approx. 4 hours for the hike.  Pets are allowed.

Shenandoah Nat’l Park Day Hike

Old Rag Circuit Trail

Saturday, 05/08/2010-  10:00 a.m.

 

 

Come and enjoy the awesome beauty from, what seems like, the top of the world!  This is an 8.8 mile circuit hike, which should take us about 5.5 – 6 hours.  There are large rocks (boulders) to scramble and some of the most spectacular views in the park to see.  No pets are allowed on this trail.
 

We will be leaving the trailhead at 10:00 a.m.  Old Rag is a very challenging trail, so bring lots of water, lunch, snacks, and wear appropriate footwear.  If you are interested in joining us on this trip, please contact us at the email address below.
