The World Cup is coming to South Africa this summer!
That’s great news for the nation of South Africa as it draws soccer fans from across the world to view this event. What the Super Bowl is to Americans, the World Cup is to the rest of the world – “it’s huge” is an understatement.
However, there is a dark side to this event as well. For an estimated 100,000 children in South Africa this dream is, in reality, a nightmare. Along with the soccer enthusiasts from across the globe come sexual predators and deviants with a taste for sexual relations with children. These children will be kidnapped right from the streets and used in the sex trade.
With schools closing for the 6 weeks of the World Cup, these children will be free to roam the streets – completely vulnerable to being kidnapped.

You can help! We are actively raising money and awareness to combat this abhorrent scenario.
On Saturday, May 22, we will be co-hosting a 5k run, along with Mountain View Community Church, to raise $3500 to purchase a specially equipped trailer to keep the kids occupied and safe.
These trailers are self-contained mobile soccer clinics and video capable to show the World Cup games along with select films.
Your tax deductible donations and /or race participation will help fund this trailer.
The official date for the Ignite the Flame 5k is May 22. The walkers and the kids’ “fun run” will begin at 9:15 a.m. and the 5k race will begin at 9:30.
Location: Culpeper Recreation Club, 13163 Recreation Rd., Culpeper, VA 22701
Registration fee is $25 for 5k runners; $15 for kids “fun run” & walkers. Early registration – subtract $5. Race day registration will be available from 8:15am til 9:15am.
Race t-shirts will be guaranteed to the first 50 registered runners. Shirts will be distributed on race day. Special merchandise prizes will be given to the top male and female overall finishers. Door prize drawings will also be held and are open to all participants.

Gold level – $100 (name on tee’s. and allows a small display at the race)
Silver level – $50 (name on t-shirts)
Sponsors MUST have their money in by May 14 in order to have their names on the t-shirts, or by May 20 to be advertised on race day.
